LaCie announces the groundbreaking Ethernet Disk mini – Home Edition, a 500-gigabyte (500GB) personal media server designed to Save, Show, Sync and Share your personal digital media at home and on the road. The feature-rich server is the first commercial device to combine remote access through the Internet, ability to stream multimedia files through DLNA-compatible UPnP media players and act as an iTunes music server. The Home Edition also includes specialized applications, such as DesktopMirror, that can backup and restore computer files to the device for safekeeping, sharing and remote access.
